Judging Contest
There are 2 types of judging contests; individual and team which both have the same basic concepts.

In individual judging the youth are to judge 4 classes of rabbits and/or cavies having 4 animals each.  Each class will be of the same breed, variety, and class.  The youth are told the 4 breeds their age or royalty group will be judging ahead of time.

When placing the class of animals, the rabbits will be numbered 1-4 in their right ear and cavies will have tape on their ear.  The score card the youth is given has all of the number combinations for the numbers 1-4 and the youth will select the compination that matches the way that they place the animals.  The youth's placements are then compared to the judge's placements (who has already judged the animals) and scored.

** When placing a class any DQed  animals will be placed at the bottom of the class
In team judging they are given a new set of 4 breeds.  These are only for the teams to judge and each age group has a different set of animals.  The team members will enter the contest area together but judge individually.  Out of the 4 breeds each youth will judge 2 and each breed will only be judged twice.

The best way to determine which youth will judge which beed is to let them discuss which 4 breeds they have and who is stronger at which ones.  This way the youth are more comfortable with what they have to work with.
